Therapist

Serena currently provides counseling services at a community mental health center as well as to private clients; she is also an active volunteer with Physicians for Human Rights providing psychological evaluations for asylum cases. She integrates traditional cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with more holistic approaches to healing such as meditation, mindfulness and breath work and has found the latter to be highly effective in cross-cultural sessions. Serena received her Master of Social Work and Public Health from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
